Kode, Bergen, Norway

Edvard Munch - There are Worlds Within Us

The exhibition “Edvard Munch – There are Worlds Within Us” brings together around seventy works from the world’s largest Munch collections – including KODE’s own, where Munch’s art forms a central pillar. Made possible through generous loans from the Munch Museum and the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, as well as private collectors. A parallel exhibition, “The Experimental Self – Edvard Munch’s photography” looks at Munch’s exploration of photography and film as an artistic medium. Both exhibitions open on September 6th.

KBR, Brussels

The world of Bruegel in Black and White

Bruegel is not who you think he is…
Bruegel is a world-renowned painter, but in the 16th century it wasn’t his paintings he was known for – it was his graphic work which brought him widespread fame. This 2019 exhibition offers you the opportunity to get up close and personal with Bruegel’s famous prints. With our Podcatcher you will be able to listen to the stories behind the special art works.

As a pioneer in the rediscovery of Bruegel’s lesser-known masterpieces, KBR will exhibit its complete collection of prints during this special Bruegel year, at ‘The World of Bruegel in Black and White’.

This exhibition is set in the Palace of Charles of Lorraine, a unique 18th century hidden treasure in the heart of Brussels.
